Ski Mammoth Mountain, USA
No mountain is better named than Mammoth. When you stand at the base lodge and scan the mountain, you can’t even see a quarter of the ski terrain. The mountain’s timeless equation is ‘high alpine bowl skiing, roof tops of spring snow and professional partying’.
A place once abandoned because of its heavy snowfalls, a $1 billion investment on lifts and accommodation will return Mammoth back to prosperity and skiing’s elite. Wide open bowls, steep chutes, impeccably groomed trails, variety of terrain for all abilities and its immense size are all reasons why the mountain is consistently voted one of the top Resorts in North America. Mammoth has a great mix of places to eat. Home grown restaurants and cafes’, classic resort dining rooms, ethnic cuisines and pubs will satisfy your changing moods and cravings.
Mammoth Mountain has your recipe for the vacation of a lifetime at California’s highest resort. Take 3,500 acres of terrain for all ability levels, add 400+ inches of annual snowfall, and top it off with 300+ annual days of sweet California sunshine! In addition to traditional alpine skiing and snowboarding, Mammoth Mountain offers 19 miles of cross-country and snowshoe terrain, Snowmobile Adventures through the Eastern Sierra backcountry, and luxurious Snow-cat Tours with sweeping mountain views.
There’s plenty of winter fun to go around, even when the lifts stop turning!
The Mountain Operations team prepares for the worst case scenario whenever there is snow in the forecast. Big time storms keep their own hours, and when Mammoth gets hit in the middle of the night leaving only a few hours to do a day’s worth of work, we ramp up operations and do whatever it takes to open on time.
This level of readiness and consistent performance is at the core of our reputation as one of the premier mountain operation teams in the world. We take great pride in the standards we’ve set for preparing, opening, and conditioning our 3,500 acres, 150 trails, and 28 lifts.
