Why Kicking Horse?
Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is one of North America’s newest and hottest ski resorts. Located in Golden B.C., just 3 hours west of Calgary off the Trans Canada Highway, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is nestled between the Rocky, Purcell and Selkirk Mountain ranges. East facing slopes allow for excellent snow retention and with the help of the elements this preserves Kicking Horse’s perfect Powder. The Golden Eagle Express Gondola takes skiers and riders to terrain that used to be available only to deep pocketed heli-skiers in just 12 minutes. Once there, you will find Canada’s second highest vertical drop of 4,133 feet and more than 2,600 acres (4000+ at build-out) of superb terrain which includes gentle beginner slopes, long groomed corduroy linking trails, open powder bowls, tight chutes and extreme steeps.
