Perisher Accommodation
Perisher Accommodation is truly unique in that you are staying up in the mountains on-snow. Choose between the central hub of Perisher, the gentle forgiving bowl of Smiggin Holes – great for families, or the more secluded village of Guthega. Step out of your Perisher ski lodge and straight onto the snow! Most accommodation in Perisher is lodge or hotel style with a handful of on-snow apartment options. Park your car below the snowline at Bullocks Flat (20 minutes from Jindabyne) and catch the Ski tube underground railway right up to Perisher. Most Perisher accommodations have an over-snow transport service to transfer you from the Ski tube terminal to the front door of your ski lodge.
About Perisher
Perisher is Australia's largest ski resort, formerly known as Perisher Blue, which was changed to a simpler ‘Perisher’ at the beginning of 2009. Perisher is located in the Australian Snowy Mountains in south eastern of New South Wales about 600 kilometres southwest of Sydney. Many people choose to ski Perisher due to the massive area and diversity of terrain linked by a network of over 50 ski lifts. Perisher offers an array of après ski options with plenty of great bars and restaurants scattered throughout the various lodges and hotels of the valley. Perisher village has shops and facilities from mini supermarkets to a newsagent, a chemist, ATMs and some great restaurants and bars. Try night skiing/boarding Tuesdays and Saturdays under lights on Front Valley using the 8 seat Express Chairlift. For something different you may want to try snow tubing. ‘Tube Town’ has groomed snow lanes allowing fun lovers of all ages a high-speed ride down the slopes & lift back to the top.
